I don’t know whether you meant for this reaction – but I had a chuckle with that “Splat” 😆

I’ve been back here twice, trying to decide if I should gasp, hum a bit, or laugh out loud. Secret? I have a very private file of poems in poor taste that helped me through it. Including, btw, one I wrote comparing family members (including myself), with turkey buzzards slowly circling my father’s death bed. Of the two dozen poems I wrote during that time period, it is the only one I truly remember, and when I do, I always smile. Thanks for reminding that poetry is so often the best therapy.

This is a horrible little poem. There’s my circling hawk…preying on the carcass of a ghost.
