This reminds me of work from the gent who created the pen and ink ‘Addam’s Family.’
One verse I remember was went something like this:
When the moon is bright as day
All the children come out to play…
(but his the illustration was of all the little ‘ghouls’ and boy children- imagine Wednesday and Pugsly Addams- with headless dolls heading for the cemetery.)

I spent yesterday babysitting my 2 year old granddaughter. I would love to bounce her on my knee to the great rhythm in this delightful piece!
